Thread: WTF??? 5 Guys content.

    Default WTF??? 5 Guys content.

I'm currently hearing a conversation between two of my coworkers about how great 5 Guys burgers are.

To my knowledge, there isn't a 5 Guys joint in the state of WV. I'm not sure I'd ever even heard of them before this week.

Are they taking over the world now or something?

You are not alone. I, too, had never heard of them before being mentioned here.

    They are taking over.

Also, do your coworkers never leave WV?

They started in DC and spread up and down the east coast.

The first one I ever ate at was in Florida.

After that, we got one in South Bend, and there's 3 or 4 more in the midwest. They are spreading though... so if someone drove through a nearby major city, they may have had one.

Also.... if you're looking for their locations, their website is http://www.fiveguys.com.... NOT www.5guys.com

Okay, apparently there is one in Huntington, WV, which is only about an hour from here.

I don't make it to Huntington very often, but the next time I'm there, I'll have to try these 'super burgers'.

Only two locations near me, and both are in LA, not really "near me".

I grilled some burgers last night, tasty shit.

I have a secret to making nice, juicy burgers and that secret is to pour a little beer on both sides as they cook.

5 Guys is by far the best dang "fast-food" burger I have had in a long long time!

They will take over the world!

I've never heard of them, but apparently there are three in the greater Denver area - but not close to where I usually go.
    Yet another friend of Jack...

Me too but putting beer on the burgers is a convenient excuse to drink the rest of the beer as they cook.

Looks like there are two locations about 15-20 minutes from where I live. Next time I'm in that neighborhood I'll check it out.

I may have to go back over there tomorrow for lunch and give them another try. They didnt do much for me last I had them but the way everyone raves about them is making me wonder if I just got a bad burger.

They opened one near us and I like it. I dont know that I would call it a great burger but for fast food it is definitely one of the best. The fries are outstanding.

My wife doesnt like it though. They can be a bit greasy and she is not a fan of greasy. My daughter loves it though so whenever my wife has to work late or something, that is our little place to go when it is just the two of us. I love that kid. She has always been such a carnavore.

5 Guys is good. I wouldn't call it "Best Burger EVAR" but it fills a burger market niche between fast food burgers and something like Texas Roadhouse quite nicely.
