    Default Vintage47 Cigar Box Guitars

    http://www.vintage47amps.com/files/index.php?id=59

They run between $200-$250, 3 and 4 strings.
All Vintage47 CBG's come with magnetic pickups for a more powerful drive signal required to properly push a real tube preamp. Typical piazo pickups found on most electric CBG's are fine for some solid state amps but just to wimpy and don't cut it for amplifiers that have a tube preamp frontend. Volume and tone controls, and strap buttons, are also standard fixtures on our T'Hiles CBG's

Above: Proprietary T. Hiles High/Low convertable nut feature to quickly lower the string action from raised slide heigth to guitar position for the conventional picker. Another exclusive Vintage47 CBG feature not available from any other builder !

Below: Note the fret markings on the side of the neck? Another feature rarely found on Cigar Box Guitars, A standard feature on all the Vintage47 T. Hiles CBG models !

Every cigar box guitar is collector quality functional musical art. Each CBG is individual with no two are made alike. Every T. Hiles CBG creation has a unigue serial number and the builders personal signature.

That seems more like something you'd build than buy.

not. novelty item only. On the plus side, you could probably keep your pet rock inside the body of the guitar!

I would rather get the Eastwood Warren Ellis sig if I wanted a 4 string.

Having looked at dozens of kits, parts and built cigar box guitars, this one has the best features and parts.

Roots rock, electric blues band Moreland & Arbuckle recorded their latest album with one, and it sounds damn good.

I have never heard of them, and am glad you posted it. They sound pretty cool It looks like he is using that as a fretless bass with a slide. Very cool sounding indeed.

I dig 'em! I've been contemplating buying or building one of these things ever since I first heard Seasick Steve play one...and I've checked out that website more than once. For no more than they cost, I think I may just buy one instead of getting myself pissed off trying to make one. (patience ain't one of my virtues)
