My Dads babysitter took him to see Elvis when he was fairly new, and when Elvis hit the stage she peed her pants.

Such nostalgia is nice, but even with today's problems, I am not sure I would want to to back to a post WWII world, in the throes of the cold war, McCarthyism, racial oppression, gender and sexual oppression and repression, and etc. We think we had it bad as far as being able to be who we are and express ourselves in today's world, but back then . . . ?

Cool cars, guitars, amps, and such were going then though!

Neat times. All eras have their pluses and minuses though.

I'm not saying those days are better than these days.
I'm only saying I'd like to get in my time machine and visit for a weekend.

    (Maybe date someones grandma).

LOL! I get that! It would be fun to have a "Back to the Future" experience.

I'm down with that. I am totally fascinated with "recent" history of the last 100 years or so.

+1. Though if I visited WWII history, I would want to be in some sort of protective bubble, or something. Yikes! Lots of interesting stuff in the last 100 years socially though.

Ironically, here's a pic of my local car manufacturing plant 30 years ago:
