    Default Orpheum Amp...

    ...so a friend of mine has this amp...





    ...can anyone tell me anything about it?...its not in tip top shape...there is a volume problem. Its on 10, and about even with the natural unplugged volume of the guitar. After you play it a while, it really starts to cook...but its not loud enough to REALLY cook...

    ...the tubes are: 2 12ax7's, an EZ80, and an 6BQ5...

    ...it has trem too, apparently, but no footswitch to activate it...

    ...what say you, weinboard?...

    From the looks of the PVC jacketed wire and some of the newer components, someone already took a stab at rehab'n that amp but it still looks pretty rough. Those $100 offers he's getting off craigslist are probably worth taking and he breaks even.

    It's a single ended Class A amp. You'll get maybe 4 or 5 watts tops out of it. But, where's the output transformer? I don't see one in the photo.
