He doesn't play, but was walking through a pawn shop in Memphis and found this white MIM Strat for $179!!! He bought it since the price seemed so good.

So I'll either buy it from him for his money plus $50 or I'll flip it and we'll split the profit.

Thought about that a couple times. USA fat strats with a Floyd are pretty damn rare. Just kind of a tough market to find though.

however, if you go with what I suggested, you'll need to replace the pickguard on the new one for one in solid black.
to better contrast the other Strat you already own.

Yeah! Looking at your other two, you need a white one. I like the turtle shell pickguard.

I get what you're saying, but I think it'd be cool putting a white or pearloid guard on it so it'd match our vocalist / other guitarist's guitar

Oh i wouldn't either. I had a P bass i loaned to a cousin and of course he dropped it and knocked a big chunk out, bigger than that. I think it still looks better than "relicing"

nice score. even with the paint damage, you could turn it around for a few bills.

i do like the baritone idea. i'm totally in love with my dano baritone. not so much for playing out, but it's been invaluable for writing. i tune in A.

and whatever you do, don't sell that USA Floyd Strat.

the Eastwoods look cool, but they play like shit. for baritone, i like the conversion neck idea, Danelectro, and the PRS SE Mike Mushok. i say conversion neck.

you have to take them for what they are. they're niche instruments that do one thing really well at a great price. i don't need a $2000 Rickenbacker 12 string. but i'll play a $300 Dano. it's a fun guitar.

Was considering the Mike Mushok sig. Really damn cool. Just not sure it's my thing. I love so many things about the Eastwood, minor adjustments to improve playability wouldn't be too bad... but don't wanna get something that's going to require a whole lot out of the box.

every Eastwood i've tried has played like a brick. i dunno, maybe you'll have better luck. call Scott at AxeAndYouShallReceive and drop my name. he's very close with Eastwood and might be able to find a good one for you.

The Mushok is amazing. But before you drop that kind of coin, snag the Warmoth conversion neck for $200.

And sell it to me if you don't like it, remember?

I'm thinking I'll just fit this new white Strat w a low B from a set of 7-string strings. And use that for the drop A song we play.
