Works for me. I have one song done that I haven't already posted, and the two others that I have posted already.

Hopefully I'll have time to do something else between now and then, too.

I actually tried to decide on a track last night. Didn't do so well and my wrist hurt too much to play it.

Did we have a theme? Or is it a 'free for all'? (pun intended....).

The one I have already recorded is from a band that broke in the mid 90s. That's close enough to Alt Rock for me.

Maybe. I was thinking of doing an original this time, but if I get some time left, I could do some PJ.

Alt rock is such a broad category, there has to be something that fits.

I learned a song and can play it. I cant see any chance I can sing it but I'll give it a go. If it is a complete train wreck I'll call in some help but going to try do it all. Even if it sucks.

I need to start trying to program the drums too. I dont think it is an overly technical song but I suck at programming drums.

I picked my song. Definitely not alt.rock.

Only if you play it on a short scale guitar that's out of tune with three fuzz pedals and a phaser.

I might try to do something for this one, but I still need to finish SHA. It's hard for me to do these with the baby, the wife is always on me to keep it down, and my room is right next to hers. I cant make noise hardly at all anymore, so it may still be a while till I can get back in on these. I miss doing them though. I'm gonna try to get something in for this.

I'd say get rid of the fam, but I'm pretty sure that's not an option.

Get the in-laws to watch the kids for a bit? Beg for an hour to do vocals? Enlist one of the kick ass singers on here?

The real problem is the kid goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00. I dont get home from work until close to 6. That basically leaves me a little bit on weekends to make some noise, and trying to fit that in with everything else just gets kinda crazy. I'll get back to it one of these days soon enough. Little kids are a pain

I'm at a bit of a disadvantage right now because I have a new computer, but my old recording software doesn't work on it. I could use my old computer, but I took out the data drive to use in the new computer.

I might go old school and dig out my old 4 track cassette recorder for a song.

This is why I need a mobile set-up.

Doesn't Lino have some recording equipment?

I should resolve to start participating in these for the new year. Gonna be hard though. We're moving and all my recording gear is boxed up god knows where. I'm getting a "recorded on my iPad with the built in mic" vibe from this one. I mean, alt.rock is supposed to be kind of crappy, right?

Actually, my iPhone's mic is pretty alright. I'm not Johnny Hi-Fi or anything, but it can sound pretty good.
