I have a gift card for Subway, so that's lunch. I usually go for the Italian BMT or the Chicken Teryaki. Can I do better?

The Subway by my office has Chicken Salad (the real deal... not that summer bullshit with the fruit and nuts... barf )

When you combine Chicken salad with jalapenos, banana peppers, and pepper jack cheese.... Mmmm......

Give that gift card to a bum and go buy a real sammich.

I honestly don't get the subway hate.

I mean, you tell them exactly what to put on it. I haven't ever noticed their lettuce or tomatos being any different than anybody else's. And I know some of you say the bread sucks, but I haven't found that to be true either.

I haven't tried JJ's. There's one within walking distance, though, and I didn't bring my lunch today, so today may be the day.

    Prages is right.

JJ's, Subway, and Blimpy all make subs..... the biggest difference is what kind of hot peppers each does and doesn't carry.

It's not like any of them are made with unicorn tears or panda sperm.

I like the #14. I've tried about everything on the menu except for the one with everything on it and it's my favourite.

Whatever is on the $5.00 foot long menu. I usually have the Spicy Italian and load it up with veggies & peppers, but I may need to try the chicken breast next time (since it is also on the $5.00 menu). For $5.00 it is a lot of food...

I don't dislike Subway's food, it's certainly better than most fast food choices out there. I don't like the way they prepare it. Why does my sandwhich have to be handled by four different people before I eat it. That and I'm always behind some woman holding the the list of everyone in the offices order. That sucks.

Well, I walked the 3 blocks in 95 degree heat to Jimmy John's and there were about 50 people in line, so I turned and walked out.

Ended up going to a sushi bar and got California rolls and shrimp.

Oh Prages.... what you don't realize is that JJ's line was probably gone faster than 2 orders at McDonalds.

I'm not even kidding when I say that the first time I ate there, I ordered my sandwich, drinks, and chips..... and they handed me my sandwich before the cashier was done handing me my change.

Seriously have never had it take more than 1 minute from ordering to having food in hand.

I actually looked at opening a subway. Have the entire presentation and business plan still on my home computer. If any one wants it in the event they are looking to open one - you can have it.

No Subway for me today. For the first time in at least two months I went out for lunch, got a number 2 with no mayo and hot, peppers and jalapeno chips from Jimmy Johns. And a root beer.

I always order mine online and have it delivered. It's usually here about 10 - 15 minutes after I order it, and the place is two towns over.

If Jimmy Johns was close enough to deliver I'd get it all the time. I'd probably eat nothing BUT Jimmy Johns.

I've never enjoyed anything out of Subway. For the past 20 years, I've never worked close to one. If I want a sammich for lunch, I either brown bag it, or order from a local sub/pizza joint. I am damn sure that the bread is screaming fresh too, most of the local shops get their rolls from a commercial bakery about 10 minutes away. Every now and again the aroma comes over the hill, and jeez is that nice.
