Since my son lived with his mother I didn't have to deal with that whole empty nest thing, but my son spent years on the "friend's couch" circuit before he got his first apartment.

Well, he has a roommate and they're both working so they could swing it fairly easily. I was surprised how reasonable the rent was given how nice the place is.

At my first place we had a roach problem. Told the property mangers and they said, nah no roaches here.

One day I caught about 10-15 of them and put them in a Tupperware container. Took them to the managers and he said, waterbugs. Waterbugs? Oh, let me dump these harmless water bugs on your desk then....

Place was fumegated the next week
