It was a good crowd... we played for 2 hours, then the bagpipers played for 15 minutes or so, and our buddies in Alligator Blackbird closed out the night.

This is where Sunday's gig is (the Nautique Boat show)... that area with the canopy is an island... the waterfall splits around it and the other half of the river flows down another lock (outside of the frame). Our stage will be under the canopy.

I went to an open mic at a wine shop and the owner put my picture as the cover of their facebook page. :)

There were scattered thunderstorms today, so they set up the event indoors....

We ran a pretty cool setup... on either side of the stage I put an 18" sub and then a 15" powered 2 way on top of that... then about 20 feet to the right and to the left of that, I put stands with two more 15" powered two ways as satellites to spread the sound out. On stage we had a pair of 12" monitors. Besides the lighting truss and the par cans, they had the palm trees on stage for us, and they even made the banner for us (small quibble that we have "Sandbar" as one word and they spelled it as Sand Bar", but either way we get a free banner to use at shows like this.) We also had a cool "back stage" area to store our carts, cases, and we even had a table for our food and drinks (all free). Once people filed in there were between 300 and 400 people there. I can dig these corporate shows.
