I just bought a new bottle of mineral oil. $7.08 for 16 ounces! This stuff used to be $1.99. Of course it will last until we move out and I throw the bottle out so it doesn’t spill, but the difference is still what I pay for a danish and I can eat those.
 
This won’t spill unless you let it melt.

Not surprising. On a "per use" basis that still isn't much...I expect the bottle of linseed oil that I have will outlive me.
