Happy New Cancelled Order Day
Around Christmas my wife saw me checking out a Harley Benton bass, semi acoustic, G ES type body, in red, but with an MM style pickup. I was intrigued but not totally turned on, but she ordered it as my gift, not seeing that it was a backorder for 11-12 weeks.
So yesterday I looked up the order and it showed me the backorder as still 11-12 weeks. And the order amount was 252€. I decided to cancel it and order a Framus acoustic like my friend bought, I totally loved and he still 2 years later is in love with for about the same price. I then thought "well, I'm not sure how often I'd play that", but when I looked at the bass I was actually drooling over a Höfner Ignition club bass that I had tried in the store. So I decided to take the 250 and apply it towards the 379 for the Höfner. Called and placed the order the lady was helpful and they sent a link for the balance.
The happy party comes when you get the bill minus the 40€ store credit I had no idea was still outstanding.
So now I have one of my favorite basses coming to me for less than awaited price.
I mean it's still the same out of pocket, but found money is still a beautiful thing.
