Thanks!

A 335-ish guitar of some kind (I'm fond of the Westerley made Guild Starfire IVs) and a 000 acoustic (I'm partial to a Martin 000-15) of some kind are at the top of the "next time I've got the money" list.

It seems we really do have similar tastes. :) My first choice for a 335 style guitar is a Guild Starfire IV as well. I've owned a few (a 60s SFV, a 70s SFIV, and a new reissue Newark St SFIV) and loved them all for different reasons. The new reissues are actually quite impressive. I bought one used for a great price and it really stacked up quite well against the 60s one I used to own, as long as you can get past the thick poly finish (which some can't) and the fact they're made in Korea (again, some people can't get past this).

I've played one of the Starfire IV reissues and I was very impressed. And I certainly have no issues with its country of origin — my Reverend is Korean and that's a killer guitar. The only problem I have is that a decent Westerley Starfire IV can still be found for less than $1,500, so it becomes difficult to justify picking up a reissue when I could just save up a little more and get what I really want.

In any case it's probably not going to happen this year, so we'll just have to wait and see.

same as it...ever was.
