Sad stuff

The Diablo in the weeds surrounded by cows nearly made me cry.

A whole lot of automotive art and history left for the elements to consume.

No, it's not pandemic starvation, it's not a horrible plane crash, but on some level it is a real tragedy.

I seriously am tempted to investigate that Diablo and see if there is any way to save it.

My wife may kill me, but she knows that it is my absolute dream car and I have made it clear that I WILL own one at some point.

Talk about gas pains?

Officially as El Diablo, I am appalled at the blatant uncaring for those of my ilk in those photographs.
Unofficially, I thought that was a bunch of worn out Triumphs.

:(

Some of those race cars were probably wrecked in competition, but man that's sad.

I can't believe those old Formula cars are sitting there rotting. Some of those look like they could get running again with some work.

This is one of the very first BMW works cars to race on the world stage. They unveiled these cars at Sebring in, IIRC, 1975- or 1976, and they won their class.

I used to have a poster of this car racing at Nurburgring, all four wheels in the air after going over one of the jumps.

Sad to see how badly it (and all of them) have been neglected.
