Modern Country Content - I like this tune

Ack
Apparently this guy is a co-writer on this song, and IMO, his performance of it is 1000 times better than the star who got it on the radio:

Here's the "popular" version, by Cole Swindell:

Both of them are great examples of why Modern Country is a desolate and soulless genre.

But I actually preferred the "popular" version.

I broke up with a woman a few years back because everywhere I went there was 'new country' Her car,her truck, her house, her cottage, her barn......Up stairs, down stairs...Bose speakers everywhere..

I didn't like either version. Just not my taste.
I just prefer the old stuff

The only modern country musician I like is Ryan Bingham

And the only other "new" country music I've liked in the last 20 years was BR-459
for @Modern Saint

Shame they couldn't hold it together longer than they did

Glad you listened to it. :)

The Cole S version just sounds overproduced and overdone to me. I like hearing the individual instruments and simplicity. I also like the first guys voice a lot more.
