that "go to session guy" would be Larry Carlton and i'm not sure he owned a Dumble during that period. Larry gets great tone no matter what he plays thru.

dumbles DO sound good, but it is a little hard to hear the difference from a studio recording, because of all the processing that the sound goes thru.

but LIVE......yea, you can tell the difference and you can REALLY tell the difference when YOU play thru one.
