It's pretty fun. I do actually use it quite a bit to make weird noises.

I saw a young guitarist (he was quite good) using one on a song, and I liked the effect. I considered getting one, but then I figured it's just another thing to learn, and right now I should stay focued on scales, so I can add lead to my rhythm playing.

Well, the Lunar Module is filling in pretty well at the moment... I love the BOW, a lot, but the LM sounds really, really good.
