Question: Do you have Chicken Feet?

for all who worship guitar minutiae this thread is for you!

I think they are medullary rays, colloquialy referred to as chicken feet.
they are like little channels that allow sap to penetrate throughout the tree




anywhoo, I noticed I have some on my Fender teles-but only on the back.
I guess Fender thinks these look bad or something so they relegate them to the back.
I kind of like them as it gives wood some character.

There doesn't seem to be much, if any, on my swamp ash Warmoth body.

I just looked at my guitars with 'clear' finishes and I see no chicken feet on them.
