The problem with having Paul Gilbert demo a pickup is that he's Paul Gilbert, and I'm never gonna sound like him anyway.

If I put twice as many of those pickups in my guitar, I will sound twice as good as Paul. Right?
I love the sound of that pickup. Well, that pickup being played by Paul, anyway. I'm a big fan of DiMarzio PAF Pro pickups, and these sound somewhat similar based on that clip.
No, but after watching the demo video, I worry what will happen to my guitar face if I do go that route. You're not Nigel Tufnel, are you?

I may have to consult some astro-physicists.
From the specs it seems like the older Virtual PAF neck pickup and the Anniversary bridge pickup with A4 magnets.
I've played a few that are nice, like the set of D-Activators I have in my MeanStreet Exile.I would like to see them read "Seymour Duncan" on them... Larry is a great photographer but his pickups have always been dogs
Tone is in the freakishly long fingers. He got what sounded (to me, at least) a very Jimmy Page type tone at a couple spots there. Interesting considering that's a Fender scale guitar made of Ash and maple.
