I play with my 6yo Niece.

It's her downtime game after homework on the days I have her.

My 12 year old has been hooked for over a year. He got a few F's and had to go cold turkey over the summer.
I believe it is like the fluoridation of water, an evil plot to control us all.

I should thank myself that I'm not constantly stepping on Lego blocks. But I like playing with Legos better.

I've seen Skype groups emptied because of Minecraft. Entire forums laid waste and left for dead. Vibrant online communities become barren ghost towns. There is a special level of hell for Minecraft's creators.

When we were allowing that my kid turned into a crazed monster. We limit him to one hour a day on weekends only, now.
