    You can only buy Three…..

Yeah, Lynch was what got me interested in 80s metal scene. His melodic choices and phrasing were so unique. In a sea of VH and YJM wannabes, George stood out. I used to watch and jam to the Hear N' Aid VHS tape a bit (far too much in hindsight) and it always stuck out to me that in that sea...

Living Colour stopping at the Birchmere for their Time's Up 35th Anniversary Tour. One of my favorite bands at one of my favorite venues. So, that's adding to the list... Living Colour - Birchmere, May 12

    You can only buy Three…..

Looks like I hadn't addressed '83... I've owned 7 of the 9. While the Police are one of my all time bands, Synchronicity is my least favorite of their albums. So... U2 Bowie SRV As to '84...I own or have owned 5 (including two on vinyl), but the only ones I'd pick (as in would or do still...

    You can only buy Three…..

I stand by my selections earlier in the thread but here are some additional thoughts... I was 9 and 10 during these years. From '81 I was and remain familiar with: Paradise Theater, Foreigner 4, Escape, and I Love RnR. That said, I've spent little to no time revisiting these albums in...

    You can only buy Three…..

I'm good on '81, but I'll take Rush, the Clash, and Prince from '82.

    It's been about five years

I went from February 2020 to somewhere mid 2021 without a hair cut and was shocked at little my hair grew over that time. Sumfin about the last decade that has not only closed many follicles for business and greatly diminished hair growth...sigh... Not particularly surprising as I've always...

How was Mr. Cray? He's been on my must see list for decades, but he either doesn't swing our way or the stars don't align when he does. Just a killer guitarist and singer...and his music grooves in the best way(s).

    RIP David Johansen :(

I keep thinking I saw him live years ago, but then I also keep remembering that it was Chuck Berry at the Ritz with the David's Buster Poindexter band backing. So not DJ for me. Enjoyed his work though. He lived a life and seemed to do it how he wanted.

I had wanted to and planned to see them when they were in the DMV, but I couldn't make it. Stellar artists. Very cool poster.

What was your favorite Yes lineup?

For me, I grew up with Anderson, Squire, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe line-up and always enjoyed them, but sometimes less so with the massive epic pieces. My dad wasn't listening to them much, but the classic rock "hits" were something I heard a ton. Then I got into the 90125-era, I really like...
