Brian Setzer of course
Went and saw his big band orchestra at casino windsor last night. Phenomenal show. It was billed as an xmas thing, but only about half the tunes were xmas related. Played a handful of old Stray Cats songs, a couple standards jazz & rock. Great sound as usual and my god the tone! Just an incredible showcase of technique, style, and taste. I was telling my dad before the show that if there was one guitarist I could play like it would be Brian, and he only reinforced that impossible dream.
He played 4 different Gretsch's through his usual fender bassman setup, with roland space echo.
About an hour after the show I ran into the bass player (Johnny Hatton) in the casino and talked to him for 15 minutes. Super cool guy, I even introduced him to my mom and grandma who I saw nearby and he was really nice to them.
