Taylor Swift is horrible.

I'm not especially a fan of Rubin's, but I will remain forever grateful to him for rejuvenating the career of Johnny Cash and exposing his true level of artistry before he died...

I love what he does...maybe not even the technical production aspect but the 'Rubin effect' in that the essence of the act comes to the fore, you could say.

Taylor...not a big fan. Got on her side after Kanye got up with his loud mouth. Fell back to my previous position after hearing her singing off key. Loved that she recognized the blue collars with the bonuses. Media saturation pushing me away again.

I'll likely never have any of her recordings - I don't like any that I hear. It will never affect her or her fans one bit.

I've always liked her songwriting, but I'm not really a huge fan overall. And I don't get how she is so freaking popular. Very good songs, good (not great) vocals. There are equally talented female singer/songwriters out there who do not get 1/1oth the attention Taylor does. I know that is how the industry works, but I don't get the appeal for her and her music on the level it is. Give me Sarah Jarosz over Taylor every day of the week.

I don’t think I’ve listened to over 60 seconds of TS, but apparently she is controversial for some reason. It’s not my cuppa but I couldn’t care less one way or the other. I just tell myself to remember to stay away from any times and places she is performing. I don’t need the hassle of dealing with her mob of fans.

She recently used her clout to significantly increase voter registration, so that’s good I guess, if the Swifties bother to follow up and actually vote.

I do not know a single song of hers. Travis Kelse jersey sales spiked 400% since the news of their dating.

Taylor Swift writes a solid song and makes enjoyable records. I started paying attention around Red. And 1989 is one of the best albums of the last 20 years. Folklore/Evermore are right in my wheelhouse. There’s a couple really great things on Lover even if it is kinda overstuffed. I’ve really come around on Midnights which is a bit of a grower/sleeper.

I think she's great.

Not £200 a head if you win the ticket lottery to go see her great despite my wife's protestations but she has some banging tunes and seems pretty down to earth given how famous and rich she is.

She's the reason for the Tortaloid tear drops on my travel guitar.
Okay, so it's really a tribute to the memories of my daughters childhood. The song(Teardrops On My Guitar) was the inspiration.
Plus I had some Tortaloid left over after the 2 gigantic pickgaurds were finished. I don't even use a pick.

I like her fine but wish she would throw some out of the box chords/key changes in every now and then. Everything is some combo of 1,4,5,m6.....

Why wouldn't she?
IDK maybe it seems like someone who is a creative type might be more into a creative type or if she wanted a "normal joe" not in the industry why not some truly normal unknown dude. It just seems so very High schoolish to go after "the captain of the football team"

Maybe he's not a typical meathead jock? Some of those guys are actually very smart and I'm sure can hold good conversations. YMMV
