I just bought another German Hofner...

...and will get it when I get home in two weeks.

I was flipping through Reverb after work and I saw this guy. German made, some finish checking (but that's normal on a Hofner, my 500/1 has a lot), but otherwise like new. These are hard to find and usually sell in the $1,200 - $1,500 range. When I saw it priced at $870 with free shipping I had to act. It weighs 4 pounds 5 ounces! I'm super excited.

This same shop has a couple of the German-made Gold Label Beatle Basses for sale at the same price. But they're left handed.

That's an insane deal, they are $2,900 new and usually around $2K used. I'm considering getting one just as a collectible. (I'd get the red one.)
