I have a meeting at 2:30 with an American hero.

So, I didn't get to meet General Yeager, but his wife came in. He's 92 years old and has been very busy the last few days, so he's resting. :(

She was very pleasant, but I did find it odd that she referred to her husband as General Yeager.

He told her to say that instead of "Chucky"

So did you set up the Yeagers with some mutual funds, some money markets accounts, maybe some CDs, a few LPs and maybe a couple Gary Blanchard cassette tapes?

They should be set up for life.

a LOT of general's (admiral's) wives refer to their husbands as "general" or "the general".....it's one of those status things that wives do.....lots of wives refer to their physician husbands as Doctor.

no shit, back in my service days, i had wives identify themselves as misses major (last name). seriously.
