• Partial Chord Shapes Primer

This is the first in a series of lessons about smaller chord shapes that you can use not only for rhythm guitar playing but also for some lead guitar chops that we'll be working on later. This isn't a very exciting lesson by itself but what I am doing is giving you the basics for what is coming next in the series...get these under your fingers and we'll have some musical examples with backing tracks to play along with in the next lesson!

      Hi!

      I'm Misha (from harmony-Central),

I'm not very good with rhythm and I know it! At first, the guitar was so physically challenging for me that I would not really bother with rhythm because my hands weren't fast enough. I have a pretty good ear too so I was paying attention to the melody the major part of the time...

Now, I want to play with other people and I'm conscious and/or proud so I don't want to make a foll of myself or piss off other players!

I think you are maybe going to laugh at what I'll tell you, maybe it's just me and not everybody else having issue with this but... I have trouble with "strumming up"...

I never know whicj strings I have to hit with the pick. I think I don't pick the bass note... Well. do you have a lesson that gives tricks about this

As I told you, maybe it's just me, but it makes my rhythm very bad!

Cheers and thank's for your devoted work!

(By the way, my first language is French... I'm sure I make a lot of mistakes in English that I'm clueless about!! Sorry in advance!)
