To make Blues Beans! I enjoy a website that may be familiar to some folks here. It is called Junior's Juke Joint. It has a recipe section and I am making the bean recipe. This is the link to the recipe:

Here is the link to Junior's Juke Joint itself (sorry if this is redundant)

I am making some small changes to the recipe, mainly just expanding it a bit and using fresh pressed garlic instead of powder. Smoked pork neckbones were easy to find in the local WalMart and looked meatier than hamhocks. I can't emphasize too strongly the need to pick over the beans. I found 3 rocks!

Unlikely! Soaking beans are not that exciting. Now, if I was cooking onstage at Buddy Guy's Legends....:aok:

I just got home from being on call at work, and the apartment is full of the aroma of pinto beans, ham, garlic, onions...ummm...drool0

Two bowls of bean soup with rice later...wonderful! I no longer feel chilly! (I sense the presence of a bad pun...)
