Hi!

So I wanted to buy a line 6 toneport gx. My current amp (zoom fire-15) is one that I got from a friend, and I feel like the sounds that come out of it are really horrible. From what I've read about the toneport, it can emulate hundreds of sounds and effects very well. I'd only be using it to practice with the sound coming from the toneport to my headphones. Do you think it a good choice? Will the sound coming out of my headphones be any good?

Also, I have a 2007 mexican strat. And I'm really new to guitar. So take those into consideration.

And if you feel like this topic belongs in another forum, feel free to move it, Mark.

Thanks for any advice :)

I might drop this into the amp forum just because I think it will get the most attention there.

The Line 6 stuff will be WAY better than what you have. I use a PodXT in my office and one of my student just brought in his UX1 interface last night. I think its a good buy if you want to be able to record yourself or just have a ton of guitar tones at your fingertips for cheap.

The only thing is that you don't have an amp with a speaker if you want to take it someplace and jam with a friend...I think its a great tool, though...
