ModelName Les Paul Limited Colors Edition BLUE
Case: Original Hard

Condition: Good

Maverick Music Description: 1990 Gibson Les Paul Limited Colors Edition BLUE - Superb Les Paul Standard that’s now 18 years old, from the hard to find “Limited Colors Edition” finished in original blue with gold plated hardware. The guitar has been played so the plating on the stop bar has worn down to the metal, the plating on all of the other parts is strong, the front of the body is in excellent shape, the rear of the body has some normal wear and tear for an 18 year old guitar but nothing through the finish. The fingerboards and frets are in excellent shape, complete with original and very clean brown hard-shell case.

I don't mind the blue. I'd prefer nickel hardware on it though.

8 out of 10.

Pretty hot. I'm not entirely sold on the blue, but it's different without being over the top, so I think I like it.

I'm not a gold hardware basher. I'd probably prefer nickel, but the gold doesn't bother me in the least. FWIW, my 1998 LP Standard has gold hardware and it hasn't bothered me yet. idn_smilie

Its probably a nice sounding Les Paul although the gold hardware isn't to my taste. The blue isn't something I'd pick but if the guitar played and sounded good I'd own it....

I had a student come in with a guitar last night from an American builder in Rhode Island I had never hear of before that was pretty nice in the shorter scale length, mahogany body and humbuckers side of things...I'm going to try and find their website today and share it...

saw a few in a store. i dunno. i guess i feel i'm at the point where i have my guitars and don't need anything else. i'm sure they were nice and all, i was just kinda meh on them.

$599 is an excellent price though. its no surprise they have no resale value. nobody knows who they are.

I actually enjoyed playing his quite a bit. It has Duncan Jazz and '59 pickups in it and even the coil split option appealed to me, which I usually don't dig. The are SMALL, though. Like my Ric....

I'd probably buy his model for $600. Much of what I saw on the website wasn't really my thing, though.

Not a bad looking LP in the OP.

I'll echo the majority here and say that the blue is not my fave shade for a LP, but it is well done and the guitar looks to be in nice shape. I think the asking price is a bit steep though....

I've got no problem with gold HW with other colors. Gold on a black beauty is stunning, IMO. It's just the combo of gold and blue that doesn't turn my crank.

personally, i don't like the blue back. i think it would look great with a blue top, chrome hardware and a natural mahogany back. but that's just me.

A natural back would definitely set it off and put it into the 'really hot' category...with or without the gold hardware.
