The MI Audio Crunch Box Distortion Pedal

The MI Audio Crunch Box is the premier distortion pedal on the market today. If you’re looking to fatten up your leads or really chunk out some rhythms the MI Audio is for you. Designed a few years ago, the MI Crunch Box was based on a careful study of the design of British amp overdrive circuits. Experimenting with the midrange frequency concentration of these designs yielded the Crunch Box in 2003. After a few prototypes, the unit was released in 2006.
MI Audio Crunch Box Tone

The MI Crunch Box will take on any distortion pedal on the market. Rock, Metal, Blues, this thing can do it all. If you play single coils, the Crunch Box will make them scream like a fat girl on a pogo stick. If you play humbuckers the Crunch Box will make the Earth quake and little girls cry. Thick, fat, and juicy just like a good steak the Crunch Box was not designed for low gain, ballady crap. The MI Audio Crunch Box…not for those with small danglies.

Get a Marshall stack. Then you won't need any pedals. Eddie Van Halen never used a distortion pedal.

I borrowed one of these off a bud they are not bad, but in the end I preferred the OCD over it.

At least it isn't a expensive DS-1 clone. the price is pretty reasonable. That being said it did nothing for me. The Hyde side of my Jekyll/Hyde sounds better..

Yeah. Though the Hyde side sounds closer to a DS-1 than a RAT to me.

that's because they changed the tone control. the RAT filter control is really weird when you think about it.
