How long does it usually take?

installed the rajin' cajuns tonight. sound a little bright now, but clean as heck

probably depends on the speaker but it might be a few weeks I would think.

I've heard of folks artificially breaking them in with an AC train transformer or a variac down very low. The 60HZ AC is supposed to work the speaker very nicely. Run it low for a day and bump it up in subsequent days.

I personally have never done this. I usually just go play and next thing you know, things sound less brittle. If you don't play at volume though, they may never break in.

I seem to recall my Greenback and G12H30 taking about a month with me using them sparingly at home and at band practice for about 6 hours at a time on the weekends.

I was going to try running my mp3 player for a while, but decided just to play my guitar and let it happen naturally just to go through the experience for once. might be kinda cool
