Doesn't really do much for me. I like understated LPs. This one just looks like it's trying too hard.

Also not a fan of f-holes in LPs.

see people, these are real reasons here to not like a guitar. i can get behind these reasons. "headstock fail" is way, way, way down the list.

Well, the headstock isn't anything special, but there's nothing inherently wrong with it either. It comes down pretty low on the list of reasons I don't like the guitar. :weebz:

I wouldn't mind trying it just to try it but I don't dig flamey tops, zebra pickups and f holes in the same guitar.

For the money it seems like a great deal if the build quality is similar to the Xavier strat that Alexshelaxel has (thats the only other Xavier that I've tried).

On a side note about these guitars, I have heard that they have problems with their electronics (mostly bad pots and switches). Alex's guitar has bad tone controls, and I think Kerouoac has a thinline with a similar problem. Is this something that Xavier is becoming known for?

i don't think so. it happens to a lot of low-line guitars. and if a guitar is indeed defective, i'm sure Jay would take it back or replace the part free if the owner has the know-how to do the work himself.

Thats good to know.

The nice thing about these guitars is that even though they are inexpensive and built overseas there is a real person to deal with your issues here...

i've only bought pickups from him. but every interaction with him has been very friendly. he's all about customer service. i wouldn't hesitate to buy a guitar from him. i wouldn't buy this one, but if there was one i liked i would.

That is all-important to me.

Suhr used to be like that and I've had similar dealings with the owner of Xotic effects when the button on my RC Booster died...

Peavey has always given me great customer service.

My Wolfgang Standard's paint started chipping and peeling off when the guitar was about 4 years old. I emailed Peavey and told them about it. The refinished the guitar for free, no questions asked.

Also, when I bought my Classic 50, it was missing a couple of knobs. I emailed and told them that I had just bought the amp used and need to get some knobs. They sent me a whole set free of charge.

That's pretty cool.

Good luck getting anyone to care at Fender or Gibson.

Actually, this sounds like the makings of a good thread on customer service...

No thankee-ee.

Not something I could ever see myself owning or playing.

I was gonna say I don't like the headstock, but........... cop0

Seriously though, I prefer my semi-hollow bodies to be more like the Gibson ES or Byrdland shapes. It does look to be a lot of guitar for the money though.

Im not a huge fan of quilt tops, although that ones not too bad.

I have bought some pups and pots form Jay...pups are good pots are lower quality.

I'd take it if it had a roller bridge and a bigsby biggrin

I got to try one of these tonight and really dug it...Tom Harkenrider (one of our teachers) got one and put 12's on it...very playable with the heavy strings...it could just use a little fretwork...sounded surprisingly good, too.

Cool! I owned two Xaviere guitars and liked both of them. One I sold to buy my first Benford and the other is because I'm just not a LP person...

I am giving their new semi-hollows a long hard look....

$500 or so. If I didn't just buy a house I'd be ordering one.
