Built by Steve Benford. It is in excellent shape. Here are the vitals...

Swamp Ash body.
Maple Neck, maple fingerboard.
Custom wound Tele pickups - made by Clint Searcy of Searcy String Works. Wound hotter than vintage. I don't remember the specs but they are about 8.5 for the neck and 7.9 for the bridge.
Vintage style Wilkinson Bridge with compensated brass saddles
String through the body
Soft case (an aftermarket 'Danelectro' case actually...)

It is a great guitar. I would put it on a MIA Fender level. I don't want to carve it up though so I'll sell it and use the proceeds to finance the next one.

I'm asking $400.00 plus shipping - which is about what newer MIM Teles are reselling for. Or - make me an offer. I'm flexible. If you want it I'll work with you.

For shipping, since there is no hard case, I can either ship it as is in the soft case boxed well (which is how I got it and there were no issues) or I can take the neck off and ship it that way with a new set of strings in the box - your choice.

Man, if I had the cash, I might just buy it.

I had a Lite Ash Tele for a while and really liked it, but decided to sell it to Lino because he LOVED it, and I really didn't play it much.

I really did like the recorded sound of it though.

How is it setting up the intonation on that bridge?

I'll pass this along to some friends that may be interested.

Not that bad. There are two adjustment screws on each 'barrel' on the saddle. It's not as precise as the more modern Tele bridges, but it works well....

I have a guy coming over this weekend to look at it, but he knows nothing about electric guitars at all (acoustic player mainly). I'm not optimistic of a sale, but I'm asking $450.00 on Craigslist.

If I had the spare ash I'd probably buy it just to have around or to keep at home...

As expected, the Craigslist guy was a no show this weekend. No calls - no emails - nothing. Which is what I expected after my talk with him on the phone.

I'm tempted (and local). I can't get over the headstock though.

Decisions, decisions.
