Not exactly on topic, but here are some opportunities to play and/or meet other musicians...all classes are scheduled to start in September although the Wednesday Adult Rock Ensemble is already in session.

Music Theory
All instruments and singers
Jay Simper will be teaching this class on "Music Theory Made Practical" Tuesday Nights from 6-7pm. The class is open to all instruments and singers and is a great way to learn your music theory in a way that is practical for you to use in any setting!
Tuesdays 6-7pm Instructor: Jay Simper
Adult Rock Ensemble
Guitar, Voice, Keyboards, Drums and Vocalists.
We have a new class on Wednesday nights from 6-7pm each week. This is an opportunity to learn to play in a group with other students and at the end of a 3-4 month period perform in a local club. We'll give you the skills to work in an ensemble and learn music effectively!
Wednesdays 6-7 Instructor: Mark Wein
Adult Funk Ensemble
Guitar, Voice, Keyboards, Drums and Vocalists.
This is a new program starting in August where we explore Funk and Soul music from the very beginnings...from James Brown and Sly Stone to the modern day. This is also a 3-4 month class that will end with a live performance.
Tuesdays 8-9pm Instructors: Mark Wein and Jay Simper
Youth Rhythm and Groove Class
Guitar, Voice, Keyboards, Drums. Vocalists are added in the advanced phase of the class.
Rhythm and Groove classes have students playing together and learning the basics of playing music in a group in several styles. After completing the Beginning and Intermediate phases of the class, each student is allowed to pick two songs and the Advanced phase of the class is spent working towards a final performance as a complete band with vocalists. Recitals are held every 8-10 weeks and the final performance is given in a local restaurant or auditorium.

Intro to Blues Class
Guitar, Voice, Keyboards, Drums and Vocalists.
This class is a chance to start playing with other musicians while you are learning the basics of the Blues. The class covers blues forms (12 bar, 8 bar, Minor Blues progressions), different feels (Shuffle, Straight, Funky, Mambo), Soloing, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Lines, Drum Grooves for each style and much more!
Each 3 month session ends with a public performance in a local club or restaurant.
