Just curious what you guys listen too...For me it's all about Michael Schenker...He's my favorite guitarist of all time (he is also very good). He is my biggest influence and if their was one guy I would say I sound like it would be him...Here is a couple of his songs ;D

I do the same thing with some albums...Their was a point where I was listening to Journey Frontiers so much that I eventually burnt it out and just stopped listening to Journey all together for quite some time.

While I can't say I have a favorite band, I like anything sounds good. I don't have to like the lyrics as long as the music is good. Recently I have been listening to the new CandleBox album. You can't go wrong with Journey as Neil Schon is a very good player. I also like alot of the work that Slash has done in various bands. Doesn't need to play a million notes per second when the song doesn't need it. Just got the new 3 doors down album so we'll see how that goes in a few days. Usually just put WinAmp on random and go from there.

Funny. I used to listen to Counting Crowes pretty much non-stop too when I used to commute from Dallas to Austin for Projects. And as for the mule, I got on a couple of week kick after that article came our in Guitar Player last month about Hetfield being a huge Mule fan, and he got to interview them. It was pretty cool.

As for right now, my wife bought me the Tommy soundtrack (well she bought it for her, but i get to keep it.) She's fascinated with the theme songs to all the CSI's and when I explained who it was, she wanted the CD's. I only have about a 10 minute commute to work so my CD time is usually while I am on the treadmill at the Gym.

In my cardio rotation right now.

Soundgarden - Superunknown
Megadeth - rust in peace...
SRV - Texas Flood
Metallica - And Justice...
Steve Winwood - Roll with it
Jimi Hendrix - R U Experienced ?

Van Halen is my all time favorite.

I also really like a bunch of the classic rock bands like Aerosmith, Bad Company, Pink Floyd, Skynnyrd, etc.

My favorite 'current' band is The Foo Fighters.

I like M Schenker a ton. I can definitely count AC/DC as one of my favorites. Really any old skool 80s metal and I'm good. Dude00

I have been enjoying Collective Soul a lot lately.

But i couldnt even start a list. My fave group ever is Kansas. Its where i made my start, and i still think Leftoverture and Point of Know Return are two of the best albums ever made.

I am a classic rock beast. I love the 70's and 80's rock (and some 60's). Probably a band I could listen to no matter what is AC/DC. Always Aerosmith, Metallica, Airbourne (this generation's AC/DC), Cheap Trick, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Def Leppard, Dio, Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Jimi Hendrix, Zeppelin, Queen, Rush, Styx, and VAN HALEN BABY! Weird Al is just awesome to listen too...

For some reason, i absolutly dislike this generation's music. I absolutly love the chilli's and foo's are average in my book. Any kind of hip hop, crap (country and rap)...just about anything that is not 60's, 70's, 80's. This generation of rock, I would kill the first chance I could get. Panic! at the disco? Fall Out Boy? Jonas Brothers? COME ON!!! DISGUSTING. I Salute the creators of rock and roll...

I'm not trying to diss your bands, so please don't be angry at me...just speaking my opinion... wave0

No worries! I was expecting getting crap on that AOK A friend of my wife made her this compilation cd and that song was in it. If you think that song was bad you should see what else is on it...Justin Timberlake!

I don't have anything like a single fave band.

I'm all over the map, but I like old school punk rock and roll and pre-punk (Ramones, NY Dolls, Heartbreakers, Clash, Pistols, Buzzcocks, Damned, Gen X, Devo, 999, Cocksparrer), and newer bands that continue in that vein (Rancid, Green Day, Swingin' Utters, GC5, D Generation, Ann Berretta, Against Me!). Also old and new garage, roots rock, hard rock, Brit Invasion, rockabilly and punkabilly. And power pop. So everything from Buddy Holly to CCR to the Pretenders to AC/DC to Cheap Trick.

I like some other stuff too, baroque to early classical; and the very occasional modern classical (Copeland, etc.), jazz, blues, or world music.

Mainly the stuff in the first paragraph though.
