I only heard of him earlier in the year, thanks to this site... He writes and sings some killer stuff with his current band... It's a small world, too, since he is now my nephew's guitar instructor... I'm envious...

I'd kill to have lessons from him. :o I've learned tons of stuff in the last year from his vids.

Also with the "Carl Connection" here are El Borrachito, who has worked for and with him on various projects and Tyler Walton, who played in the band for Carl's "Live Playing Workshop" for a year at MI. He also filmed an episode of C.S.I. with Carl a couple of years ago:

It's not fair that Carl looks the same as he did back in 1986. It's uncanny.

I first heard him subbing as a hired gun guitarist for Supertramp WAY back in the day. Then I went "this guy can really play, who is he?" then tracked down his solo releases. Good stuff.

Yea, no kidding! I had very long hair for many years, but by late 30s, it was over for me... Now it is a #2 buzz cut...
