But it's not guitar. :o

I had a long break yesterday so I broke out the MIDI controller and recorded this. I'm not much a pianist, so it's a bit rough in places, but I really dug it. I recorded it using Sonar 6 Producer, Reason 4.0 (Reason Piano patch "Cold Clocks" and the solo cello patch from EastWest's Symphonic Gold, loaded in Kontakt 2.

Thanks. :thu:

Yeah, the EastWest Gold is pretty good, but I always wanted to upgrade to Platinum. EastWest went and developed their own sample format/player though and it's nowhere near as full featured and versatile as Kontakt and they no longer sell the old Kontakt compatible libraries.

I really want to get into the VSL libraries, but tio get the set I want would cost about $2k... I'm not making that much money from this kinda stuff. :freak:

Glad you guys are enjoying it. :o

The next step is to figure out if I'm going to keep working with it and expand it, or leave it as it is. One of my friend's said he'd really like to use it in his next short and that would be pretty cool.

How many instruments do you play, i dont mean with great proficiency, but well enough to pass?

I can play a melody on anything you hand if you give me a few minutes to mess around with it. As far as well enough to pass...

Guitar
Bass (upright barely well enough to fake it)
Drums (including concert percussion)
Mandolin
Banjo
Piano

Next couple of months I'm going to be picking up a cello and going to town on that....

Impressive. :aok:

I had clarinet and piano lessons, and have since forgotten everything, but i can goof around on a keyboard enough to make semi pleasing noises. :D
