Since we only have two submissions I'm not going to bother with the voting and I'm declaring a tie...both win!

So Tele and Ron can both PM me about prizes AOK

This was a 96 Strat Plus (neck pickup) into a VOX valvetronix using the AC15 model, direct out into a Lexicon Omega then into Cubase SX. I put some comp on the track along with some light reverb then I made a copy of the track. The second track is slid forward about 15ms (or 20). Then the original track was panned hard left and the 15ms delayed copy is panned hard right.

Thanks for the kudos on the track. If anyone asks who I sound like, I never have an answer... I kind of like Greg Martin's kentucky style of blues so maybe there's some of that in there. idn_smilie

Nice, I was wondering how you got that stereo effect...

I used a R7 Les Paul Black Beauty -> Fender Hod Rod Deville - SM57 -> Pre Sonus Firebox

I had my amp modded a couple of years ago by Jim Price @ Omega Amps (http://www.omegaamps.com/mods2.html)

I own it, have not gotten all the way thru it but what I have learned has been fun - all the tracks are Gov't Mule playing and standard tuning.

Sounds great

I have that same guitar and the same year as well(But I bought mine used off ebay back in 04)- I love it - The only thing I changed on it was I swapped out the stock Fender(OEM Lace) Golds pups, for the newer Lace Hot Golds, with the 13k Bridge pup to give it more of a humbucker output when I need it- Still very quiet single coils. I also put the treble bleed mod on it, where it helps keep the highs when you roll off the volume.

That Strat Plus was considered the closest thing to Fender custom shop in a production model, before they discontinued them.

Here is my strat plus along with my LP - I noticed your Strat Plus has string trees and it looks like it doesn't have a roller nut(Wilkinson or LSR) on it - I thought that was standard on all Pluses.

telecaster911
11-05-2008, 10:11 PM
Man, those are beauties AOK The roller nut is replaced with bone and the previous owner put the trees on it. I never use the trem on a strat, so I'm good with it. Plus I only paid $400 bucks for it. AOK

Guitar1969
11-05-2008, 11:44 PM
That Makes sense - $400 is a killer deal on a great model. I paid $680 for mine, but mine required some polishing work on the finish to get rid of buckle rash, etc.
