For folks that don't know, El Borrachito (and Charlie Waymire, who is on camera in that video) we're 2/5ths of our band Felt when we did our album Desert Center. The amount of recording knowledge and experience between those two guys is MASSIVE. I've seen a couple of bits from videos that they've shot already for the site and there is NOTHING else like this out there right now that I know of....

Finally got to check it out. I'll definitely want to check out the downloadable session, but initial impressions were the ORTF and Spaced Cardioids were my favourites, the latter slightly more.

Out of curiosity, are you going to do a single overhead scenario, either with additional mics or as a mono image? That's something I think would be useful for a lot of home recordists.

We have to think of something new every week.
Eventually we will do pretty much everything.

We do have a couple minimal micing episodes in the works right now.

The production and light heartedness of this preview made me a fan. Great stuff. The mic intro is just pee my pants hilarious! Can't wait to see it all. And I don't even play drums. Always wanted to though!
