I was thinking of reorganizing some of the forums that people aren't using very much and I thought maybe it would be cool to have a general gear review forum in the gear section...what say you?

Sure i would be interested in something like that.

it would be nice if it was organized in a way such that each thread title was clear like . . .

"Boss GT8 Effects Processor Review"

Instead of

"Today i bought a . . . "

;D

I agree with Phil.

However, I think our numbers are limited enough here at the moment that the reviews, while probably pretty comprehensive individually, would be pretty narrow in terms of the equipment reviewed.

I mean, I think it's a good idea, but without the 500 gazillion members HC has, the review section here wouldn't be very all-encompassing. Know what I'm sayin'?

Plus some of the members here *me* are too brokeass to buy anything to review. :-[

I'm in a spending freeze myself.

I've got enough stockpiled to keep me busy reviewing what I've already got for quite a while though. :D

Yeah....what I've been finding though is sometimes its worth just starting something and seeing if it goes...doesn't cost any money (or much time for that matter)...it might also be another feature that might attract members, too...at least guitar playing ones ;D

SRSLY.

I have a ton of gear but with the way things are I don't need anything and "sport buying" is out of the question while we are buying a house :(

I've got more than just guitars, you know. :P

The problem is, I'm not really into specs on stuff like mics and preamps and stuff. With that stuff, my reviews would consist mostly of "Seems pretty sturdy, sounds pretty good. I like it." :D

Mine too...I am not detail oriented like that...I do know how to make the stuff work, though!

And I've got a ton of other stuff here...2 drumkits, a Vdrum set, 2 synths, 3 pianos, PA, Bass...none of which I could write a decent review on ;D

Guitars, Amps and Effects I'm cool,, though...
