If I hadn't have just bought another tele this week, I would be all over that.

If no one bites after a while, I might still be all over that. :o

That makes two us us. But I won't have any after Christmas either. But that is a smokin' Tele....Hopefully Paulski can land it.

I haven't tried a guitar with filtertrons for about 25 years... I remember them having a unique sound... Off to youtube...

I think that you'll be quite happy. I have found that MIM Teles are quite consistent and of excellent quality. With the upgrades on that particular one I can imagine it would be a fantastic guitarand I LOVE the colour.

I bought MIM Tele back in the spring. It looked like this:

super dirty

I stripped the colour off of it and put a Seth Lover in the neck:

At $350, I think that is a screamin' deal on a really cool guitar.

I'm glad. I kept seeing a multiple page thread on HC about how UPS effed up their guitar. I was getting worried for you.

Oh, pics or it didn't happen. ;)

I would love to see another pic or two. I am sure we will get to hear it in one of your next covers. How's about a Carpenters song?

:) I will try and get off my as and actually do a demo video... Carpenters cover? I don't think so...

:) I'm not sure where this new tele will fit in... This thing has a baseball bat neck, and it seems like it's strung with 11s, and it has a wound G string... Although that is not my style, the tone sounds really good, and with such a beefy neck, it calls for heavy strings... So, this one may become my slow blues guitar...

I'd be more apt to destroy a Christopher Cross tune, but that would require the Ibanez shredder for maximum metal...

For slow blues, I would want lighter strings for bends. With that neck pup, I would make it a indie rocker/punkin' guitar. Fewer bends to deal with, and lots of fat tonz.

Well, the blues I'm currently working on is the slow finger picked stuff, no bends... I have a bunch of other guitars for the bendy stuff... One thing for sure, with this beefy neck, it calls for heavy strings...

:aok: Actually, I can bend whatever these are OK... Now, when I tried Mark's The Paul for 10 seconds, which was equipped with 12s, I couldn't bend for shit!

That should be the same string tension as a tele with 11's. I have 12's on my Gretsch and they really brought that guitar to life.

I forget what was on the Tele, but I have been leaning towards 10's with that wound G.
