I was trying to clean the studio yesterday and I realize how much stuff I have that never gets used...mostly PA and recording stuff but its all in the way and only getting old. Maybe some guitar parts, too...I'll take some pictures today of what is going on the block...

A powered PA might be something I would be interested in - Tired of setting up the one we gig with everytime we practice.

I still haven't gotten around to cataloging things, but I know all that I have in that department is a Crest 300 watts per side power amp. I think it weighs as much as my truck

I'm also thinking maybe of selling my Mackie 1202 mixer to upgrade my office studio. The shipping on that stuff to your neck of the woods would make a deal impractical, though

I've been cleaning out the storage today and I've found an absolute TON of stuff...rackmount compressors, an EQ, reverbs, pickups and miscellaneous guitar parts...PA power amp....i'm getting closer to making a list....

2 2x10 speaker cabinets that were made by a company that was making them for Line 6 and then apparently lost their contract...these were on eBay and I bought a pair thinking I could use them and I never did. The speakers are pretty generic...

I have a few bags of miscellaneous guitar parts (pickups, bridges and pickguards) that I'll take pictures of later....

WHOA. Were you like, sponsored by Alesis. Jeebus. I hate to think the investment on all that stuff back when it was new...

Well...the heart breaker is the ADAT. New they were about $3400. I bought that one used for $1500 in about 1996 and if I get $75.00 I'll be happy.

well on the bright side, the same can be said for components in general.

Unless it's something like a graphic EQ or a dbx or some kind of feedback filter, etc. that hasn't changed dramatically in design, you're looking to lose your ass in any name brand electronics. Be it music studio, TV studio, network data center, etc.

The stuff just changes so quickly you're paying for the "functionality" you use, and not for the functionality it actually "has"//./

For instance, if you ran across someone who had an entire library of dats of samples or whole recordings you might get 4 times that for a high end Dat, real-to-real, or any other technologies consider Obsolete.
