Something a bit different again. http://img3.harmony-central.com/acapella/ubb/redface.gif. I wanted to practice chord tones so put together this BT with all Major chords. To make it a bit more interesting I er, "borrowed" the chord sequence from a soul classic that you may recognise. http://img3.harmony-central.com/acapella/ubb/redface.gif
The chords are AMaj/EMaj..then AMaj/C#Maj/DMaj/FMaj, then after that repeats it changes key and goes BbMaj/FMaj/BbMaj/F#Maj.
Here it is:

My take, which as I say was focused on targeting the chords rather then shred. I used a clean Strat sound and the lack of distortion encouraged me to play fewer notes http://img3.harmony-central.com/acapella/ubb/cry.gif http://img3.harmony-central.com/acapella/ubb/eek.gif http://img3.harmony-central.com/acapella/ubb/redface.gif

That is one I'll need to listen to a bunch before attempting to lay anything down.

:thu: My approach was to give myself lots of time in between phrases, rather than rush to fill in the gaps as usual :o...and then that allowed me to anticipate the changes better 'cos I was listening and then I could try and hit either the root, third or fifth of the chord coming up...
