So, I've been using a 1-spot with a 5 connector daisy chain to power my board for years.

However, in the last couple of months, my pedalboard has grown considerably.

One of the pedals I bought came with a 1-spot, but no daisy chain. So that gave me 6 power supplies.

Here's the latest pic of my board.

Six power supplies, six pedals. Great.

But, with the addition of the Turbo Tuner, I needed a seventh power supply.

I went to the local music store figuring they'd have no idea what a power supply daisy chain was, much less stock them. I was wrong. :o I picked up an 8 connection 1-spot daisy chain for $15 out the door.

I'm probably going to break the power supplies up and use two 1-spots instead of running everything off of one. I don't know how much draw my pedals need, but the 1-spot is 1700mA, so I figure it's better to just use two of them and be safe, rather than burning up a power supply.

It's a boring aquisition, I know, but with a gig coming up this weekend, it was a needed aquisition.

I use the Godlyke Distributing Powerall. Actually 3 of them since the routing on my pedalboard is such a mess.

One thing I always try to do with power supplies like that is to have any digital Delay pedal on its own power supply...they tend to be a little power hungry.

I want to upgrade to a Voodoo Labs power supply which is supposed to be the absolute best thing out there but like you said, its not the sexiest guitar purchase you can make... :-)

That's not a bad idea about the delay pedal. I know it's the hungriest pedal on my board. I think the literature said that it alone consumes something like 500mA.

That said, I don't think any of the other pedals consume much at all. I think the Barber is 50mA. Don't know about the reverb. It's probably a hog too, though.

they say that the Godlyke one can power up to 20 pedals but it really depends on the type of pedal. I'd rather have too much clean power than have the Boss DD6 brown out, which it can do if its now getting enough juice...
