I think that they started to do well but ultimately its not like you are dealing with one unified government and people who really mind their "oppression" for the most part. As Americans we like to think that our freedoms are something that everyone wants but what if they don't? What if their way of life is how they actually want it? Who are we to go around "freeing" people willy-nilly?
