The drummer carries my 412 with him and the other guitarist hauls the subs in his truck.
After looking at these pics, I probably need to think about getting a trailer again. :D

I gotta say, those pics make the Element pretty darn impressive.

Sweet! The Element is a perfect gig machine apparently. My wife works for Hyundai so for a long time i would stuff a Hyundai Santa Fe to the gills with PA and guitar gear like you would not believe. Now I have the old Chevy pickup and a Suburban so my loading is not as impressive :)

The only bad part is unloading and loading if you need the car during the week. We use it as our "truck". You can't imagine the crap we've had in there. ;D We had a load of 16' 2 x 10s in there one day. I thought the front wheels were gonna come off the ground... Pretty hilarious.

Nice!

I used to be able to come home from a gig and park in our garage but now I have to unload everything at 3am because none of our cars actually fit in the gargae :)

I don't have any pics, but they would be very impressive anyway.

For a typical gig I take the following:

1 Ashdown MAG300 bass head
1 Avatar B212 Neo bass cab
1 Peavey Classic 30
1 112 Extension speaker cab
1 medium size duffel bag full of cables, mics, short boom mic stand, and pedalboard
2 boom mic stands
2 guitars
1 bass

All of that goes into the back of a 1999 Pontiac Montana minivan. I can actually fold up the 3rd row of seats and put all that in the back storage space and still fit 5 people in the van. :D

Occasionally I have to take the PA too, but our PA consists of 2 Mackie SRM450s, one Mackie powered 15" sub, two small racks that contain the mixer, effects, a power amp for the hot spot monitors, and a dual well CD player, and a big blue plastic tote box. If I take the 3rd row of seats completely out and pack really well, I can still get it all in the back and have room for 5 people. :D

Nice job packing the Honda!!!

We generally have to rent a trailer because our PA is so freakin' big! We have two subwoofers that are roughly 2/3 the size of a dryer and our mains are about 4 feet tall. Our PA speaker stacks end up being about 8 foot high from the floor on either side of the stage. It is WAY too much PA, but it's paid for and the owner/band keyboard player refuses to leave one or both of the subs at home (we really don't need them in a small club setting).

My typical gig load would be this:

2 guitars
Fender Deluxe Reverb
Pedalboard (which is bigger than the amp and weighs close to 60lbs
2 Community PA speakers with a 15" driver and 12" horn
2 Community floor monitors with a 12" driver and horn
Mackie 808m Powered PA head
2 Speaker stands for the PA
1 mic stand for my vocal
a bag of cables and whatnot

These days it varies..when we do our "blues band" shows at the same time as the studio recitals for my students I don't bring the PA mains since the bar has those but I do have to bring more guitar amps and sometimes a drumset, bass amp and keyboard with keyboard amp.

Other gigs I'm just bringing my guitar rig and no PA which is the nicest ;D

I've played a couple of festival type gigs as an acoustic duo. Most of those hire in the sound company, so all I have to take to the gig is an acoustic guitar and a strap.

Those gigs are GREAT. I've made $200+ for a 45 minute set with no load in, set up, or tear down. :o

Unfortunately, those only come around about once every two years.

I've done a few like that but I don't really have a reputation as an "acoustic" guy so the calls for those are pretty few and far between for me as well....I did do a few solo acoustic shows of the Felt material and that was fun but I don't think I would want to do that all the time.

Tear down was pretty nice, though ;D
