I really don't care anymore.
Let everybody who's ever been banned for anything other than porn bombing back in for all I care. Let the place go even further into the crapper than it already is. It's make for an entertaining couple of days anyway....kind of like watching Amy Winehouse deteriorate. We all know it'll end in tragedy, but damned if we can tear ourselves away from the drama. :o

I think Bucky just realized that he went off half cocked....HBC wasn't the one to get Dman permabanned....

Bucky just likes to wander in and throw bombs to stir up trouble. He is apparently not content with his own little world so he has to screw up other peoples.....

What I don't get is ""why bother"?
If I had had the problems Derivicus had on HC I wouldn't want to come back and they have LR to hang out in.
The whole thing didn't make any sense to me beyond shit stirring.....

I just had my annual performance evaluation.
It was done via a call from my boss in Wilmington NC. It basically turned into an hour and a half bitch session about one of the other people in the office. :o
Luckily, I found out today that my boss shares the same ill-feelings toward this individual as I do, so I think that may actually helped my overall evaluation. :D
Whopping 2.75% raise comin' my way. That's like....a free gallon of gas every week. :-[

Well, some is better than none. Would have been nice to have something a bit more than that though.
This annoying co-worker, is it someone you have to work closely with? Or are they avoidable?
Maybe he/she is on the way out the door. ;D

His office is about 10 feet from my desk. >:(
We've been kind of at odds since day one, and I really have no idea why. He's really an overbearing, arrogant prick. For the last 2 years, I've thought it was just me that thinks that. Come to find out, pretty much everybody in the office, including the boss, thinks the same thing.
Unfortunately, there's really no way for me to avoid him completely. I've done a pretty good job of putting my personal hatred of him aside and doing the work for him that I have to do.
It's a shame, because working with everybody else in my department is a pleasure. Also, just found out that he'll soon be transferring to another department, which will get him away from me anyway, however, I think I'll still be doing work for him. The boss asked the question "If, after he moves upstairs, it's decided that he needs a dedicated assistant to move upstairs with him, what would you be willing to do that."
My response was "I would be willing to do it if there were no other options. However, you should also know that I would be VERY motivated to find employment elsewhere if that were to come to fruition."
I was pretty frank with the boss, and believe it or not, I think that may have actually helped out with my review rather than hurting me. :D

My wife usually has to deal with situations like that where she works and shes very good at staying professional and getting her job done...I wouldn't be so good :)
I think that if a boss is really doing his or her job and they value your work they'll be aware of this kind of crap and you being frank probably is a verification that you know what you're doing :)

8% from June-Aug

We took a cut this year, not because we're not busy, but because the sons that are now running the business are greedy. One just bought a condo in Hawaii, another takes half the year off and travels in his luxury motorhome, an the other shows up for work during the last half hour when he shows up at all. And none of them have a clue what to do when they are there. They are living pretty high off of daddy's money, but it's not enough. Basically, they took our profit sharing away (which was supposed to be an incentive to keep things lean and productive with a quarterly check reflecting). This was in lieu of a raise,... work hard and don't waste, and some of it goes into your pocket. We hadn't gotten a raise in a few years but the profit sharing kind of took care of it. The profit sharing started to get to be a pretty nice quarterly check, so they voted to stop it. >:( The place is totally different now that the father is not in the picture. He came to work daily when he was well into his 80s. It's looking like I'll be down about 8K this year from last. At the end of the month, I'll be finishing a new project that will bring 420K into the company every year. I will ask for a raise when it's complete. No raise means that I will be, without a doubt, looking. Ok, rant over.
Good go on the review Prages :thu: And good going on not holding back

The old man probably built the company on his own sweat and hard work...the sons just saw the high life. It seems that whenever people (especially sons) take over a company they tend to run it into the ground by not understanding how it got there in the first place.
They start losing people like you who are producing for the company and the decline will accelerate and all of their fathers hard work will be gone in a generation...

You got it perfectly, Mark.
I've worked there for 25 years directly for the father CEO developing their line of products. Any one of their competitors would grab me up in a second. I've already had the offers in the past but was not interested in relocating, plus it wasn't total crap like it is today, and I'm a loyal employee kind of guy. I'd have loved to work there until retirement, but it doesn't look good. It sucks that their over inflated dividend checks, bonuses, and salaries need to be inflated more at the expense of those that actually work there. Maserati biturbos take a lot of upkeep ::)
