My favorite is a song from 1993. I was playing in a band called "Tara" who was the singers name. She had a rough track of a song called "Taken By Innocence" which needed to be rewritten. I took her lyrics and basic chord structure and rewrote the song. The only thing that remained was a chord or two and the lyrics. We recorded the song (plus a few others) at Cal State Dominguez which had a great 24 track ADD studio at the time. To this day I still freak out at what I played on that recording.

There's a couple that on reflection I think I'm happy about. This one with the band where I was struggling to come up with anything..and then I just came up with the main lick and it all came together..I like it 'cos it's busy but fits the song :o
http://www.box.net/shared/zbo8hrncu2
And for the lead guitar wankage side of things, I was happy with most of this, it has it's fair share of slop, but I think I got the "vibe" of it right:

I remember those tunes brother Mo. On the first one I dig how you counter melody the vocals but at the same time keep it shadowed. The second one is classic Mogwie! :D He flies on the fretboard with the greatest of ease.

I haven't made it yet. Plus, I haven't recorded in a long time. That said, there are some recordings linked in the Clips, Compositions and Collaborations section here: http://markweinguitarlessons.com/forums/showthread.php?13013-Just-some-newb-stuff.-Listen-if-you-want.
I think the first link in that thread is my favorite. But I can play it lots better now! ;) I wish I had gotten a recording of my gig experience I just had. I was pretty proud of that stuff. No known recording though.

I'm not sure I have anything that really shows off my playing, but these are three that I'm really happy with the overall outcome.
The first one is one that Lino wrote the main riffs to, and he and I worked the arrangement out together, then he did the acoustic guitar, and I did everything else, including writing the lyrics.
Dearest Valentine (http://www.thewindtunnel.com/Songs/Dearest%20Valentine.mp3)
This is another one that Lino and I worked on together. This time, I came up with the main riff, we both worked on the arrangement. We split the guitar parts up between us (don't remember who did what as there are about 10 different guitar tracks). I know I did all the acoustic and slide stuff. I also did the drums, bass, and vocals (including writing the lyrics).
Fuel To Burn (http://www.thewindtunnel.com/Songs/FuelToBurn.mp3)
And this is one that I did entirely on my own.

Alright... Here is one from about 10 years ago... I recorded this at a friend's house after my singer and I went our separate ways, so this was the first time I ever sang and recorded, and, in fact, these were really supposed to be scratch vocals, but he and I never got back together to finish... I've since gotten a lot better, but I have nothing completed that's newer... He wrote the lyrics, and I helped co-write and arrange... All music was written by me...
This is just me, my brother in law on drums, and a buddy of mine on bass... None of us had been playing at all for over a year, and this was the first time we ever jammed together... Nothing was rehearsed... Still, I had fun attempting to sing, and it motivated me to continue... Be easy on me!

Well, since you said 'playing' I think I have to say this one:
http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=3137470
I did the vocal with a bit of a head cold so it seems flatish to me but I played a lead solo which I don't normally do and the bass was fun because of the way it fits the build of the song.

I have more of the too many to pick one as "favorite". Rather each video is just a fun idea to share - averaging over 1/day on my youtube channel (improv). Here's one that seems like fun to share here. I'm actually using a "normal" guitar on a wire to the amp. And yea there wierd part is the plazma ball. It makes a "wave" sound when near the pup.

Thanks, Chad, I appreciate that... It was a fun tune to play, and was supposed to be our big hit, leading to fame, fortune, drugs, chicks, and an eventual nervous breakdown, thus ultimately causing me to become religious, wandering aimlessly around telling everyone what's wrong with them, and mooching cups of coffee and bong hits...

I grew up on a LOT of early 80's English punk (Exploited, GBH, Disorder, Chaos UK, Chaotic Dischord) and Oi!/Skinhead stuff (4Skins, Business and whatnot, which is probably ironic since I'm Maori/Asian mix :)). First track would sound good with some Frankie "Leatherface" Stubbs vox on it. This is the first time I've heard your playing, I dig it Jeremy.

Hey guys, I'm known as fused. Some may already know me, if so, hey again :)
If not, thanks for allowing me past the bouncers at the door and glad to meet you :)
The Saint guided me here so I will post the opposite end of the spectrum (satan lol). (and thanks Saint, seems like a great place...never knew it was here... )
My fav song that I did all parts.... ???? I do improvs, no covers, only originals....
From my "Journey of a Million Miles" Album...

Yeah Scott, it is very deep.... Good tracks dude..... You sound a lot better doing all tracks than you do live with your band..
Guess that reveals where the true talent is..... They are fortunate to have you ;)
In case you haven't found it yet, the home page has a "Lessons and Articles' section..... I found that to be pretty cool....

Thanks! I probably had 2 or 3 Teles on hand and 4 or 5 amps. The Teles would have been partscasters and then I got my Hahn right as I was finishing the album but I don't remember if the Hahn made it on any tracks or not.
Amps ranged from a Pignose Hog to a custom built blackface Princeton style amp I had made for me.
Honestly I don't know what guitars/amps are where on the tracks though.

shoot, I think I might actually have $5 in my paypal right now, too.
takes soooooo bloody long to swap money from a CAN bank acct to paypal, it's ridiculous.

Hey, I have decent credit, but no credit cards... :aok: I did my part 25 years ago to help all y'all have ridiculously high interest rates... The only monthly debt payments I have are a $300 mortgage payment, and a very low interest $300 car payment for the wife...

Here's one which is a couple of years old. For some reason, when I play my tunes to people, they generally enjoy the ones I don't like and hate the ones I love. This is probably a bit too dirge-like for most people, but I was very happy with how it turned out.
