I hate it when it gets that windy. I live about 3 mile from the first foothills of the Rockies and we can get some nasty winds where as well - but generally not warm wind.
Today is the first day of my vacation, but I tweaked my lower back playing Wii baseball last night so I'll have to take it a bit easy today. I was going to replace the guts of a toilet, but I'm not sure I can bend well enough today...

This is the one weather condition I can't stand here. The hot dry winds wreak havoc with my sinuses and cause headaches...if you have pets they go crazy too...

The winds in the Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana , Rialto area used to get really bad.

We are in the "Canyon" area so it just funnels through...about 5 years ago we had winds up to 96 mph and the house behind us lost most of the shingles off their roof. Including one that came through our bedroom window at 12:30am :o

Yeah, October is when all this takes off, cause of the Santa Ana winds. Its causing probs in LA right now, cause the wind is keeping the copters from the water drops, as well and moving the fire too fast.
It was about this time last year that all the problems occured.

Getting worse here. I guess a second fire has started now. A whole section of the 210 freeway is completely closed now.

Yow.
Yesterday was humid and in the high 70's - low 80's. We had to turn the A/C back on.
Woke up this morning and it was in the low 60's. In OCTOBER...in ONTARIO.
Crazy crazy I tell you. But I love it.

Last night I had to go through the house and shim all of the windows with cardboard...we are currently renting a 1970's era house with the original windows and when a big gust of wind would come up the windows would slam in their frames with a big "boom" since they were so loose >:(
The baby slept better last night so I guess it helped :)
