i got a 13-56 set of these this weekend and just strung up my Danelectro Convertible.
the Zebra is a hybrid. its a standard hex core, but the wound strings alternate between nickel plated steel and phosphor bronze.
the problem i've always had with the Dano is that it sounds great unplugged with regular acoustic strings, and great plugged in with electric strings. but play electric strings unplugged and its awful. acoustic strings plugged in are even more horrible.
the Zebras solve the problem. it sounds great in both applications. i tried to do this years ago with GHS White Bronze strings, but they sounded awful too.
obviously i'll have to see how they sound as they wear. but they deliver as advertised when fresh.
