I eated them. ;D
These are from our local Pizza place. Not traditional wings but they are HUGE and have both a sweet and a (very) spicy flavor.

Actually these are from "Valentinos" here in Orange..the Pizza is pretty good, too...the ones from Westside Bar and Grill are more traditional and very good in their own right...

Best place in town is an English pub that has wing night on Mondays.
Unfortunately, the wife has a class on Monday night, so I is on child watch. :'(
Must...find...somewhere...else...

Man they always look so good.
Do you dust them with flour or anything or straight into the fryer?

I've never seen them that big anywhere else. 12 wings will keep you from this place...I can blow through 24 most other places ;D

was it Modius that went and munched one down right off his plant?
I forget how that turned out.

Yeah, I think he only ate part of it though. He seemed like he handled it pretty well. I ate a whole one, one very small bite, then the rest in one big bite. I drooled like an idiot for a good 15 minutes, almost wanting to die.

Yes, it was me.
It turned out hot. What did you expect? >:(
Seriously, though...there wasn't much at first and then it hit me like a sledgehammer in the back of the head. And I only nibbled off the tip. I didn't even get any veins or seeds. I have not the cojones for that.

Any of you guys that munched on a habanero have my respect.
I'd try it once if i had a chance. Only live once, right?

I ate a whole one, in pieces, over about 5 minutes, seeds and all.
It was really hot, and indeed I was sweating....but I'd do it again, it was also yummy. Just gotta be in the mood for the pain....

You have giant nuts, man. Weve known that for some time. You can take heat seeemingly better than almost anyone else, thats a special tolerance right there.
That habanero made me think twice about ever eating anything hot ever again. Seriously. I thought I could handle anything till I ate that. I cant imagine eating another whole one raw.

You're kidding me.  You ate the whole thing????  Wow.
For me, there is most certainly a point where pleasure and pain diverge.  And that would be well beyond that point.

Is there any possible damage from eating too much too hot?
Or just discomfort.
JModius1972

I've wondered this myself. Things like perma-damaging your stomach lining or ulcers or something. I'm not sure. I've been at it for 20 years or so and I don't have any problems yet. Of course, I don't go crazy hot every time nor do I use the hot sauce or chiles with every meal.
That being said, certain things just necessitate it. Like french fries, for example. They require ketchup and tabasco each and every time.

I worked at a local Indian Casino for about 3 years (on graveyard, ugh) as a supervisor. The restaraunts had these little bottles of tabasco, i would get a pocketful of them and just drink it througout the night. hahaha.
Im a big fan of the vinegary tasting stuff. But yeah, i put tabasco on everything.

That bumps you up a few notches in my book. ;D

I use a lot of that one when a friend and I go out for dim sum for lunch.
They usually give you a tiny little dish. I give them my tea cup and ask them to fill it up. Then about 1/2 way through I'm good for a refill. That stuff is all kinds of awesome. There's a little Asian grocery store near home that sells it. I may swing by on the way and grab a bottle..haven't had it at home for a while.
Thanks for the idea.

No prob. ;D
My local market Stator Bros has it over in the asian food aisle.
I would like to find a specialty food/hot sauce place around here, that would be fun. I just dont know of one.

I had a lot of fun there. I used to go into the italian restaurant about 3 am and make a triple esspresso on the cool machine. hahaha. Nab some leftover desserts from the fridge.
Graveyard shift had its benefits. ;D
